The pictures above represent my Shadow, Pattern, and Reflection project. I showed shadow in the sunset picture because I thought that the clouds cast a shadow onto the ocean. The picture of a lifeguard truck's tires portrayed pattern. This is because the tires make the same grooves in the sand over and over again. Lastly, Down on the strand I took a picture of this basketball hoop because it reflected palm trees. I enjoyed this assignment because it allowed me to get creative and take photos of the little things that I wouldn't usually notice

Alter(ed) ego
In this project I took two different pictures of myself from the same angle. I then edited these photos and put a color in the background according to my mood.I then Folded a piece of construction paper into accordion style and then cut and glued 1 inch strips of each picture onto the paper making sure to alternate the photo every time. This project was fun because if you look at the picture from a different angle you see a different face. It was different than just taking pictures outside and I really enjoyed it.

Letters in objects
If you look at the following pictures you may notice that the objects resemble letters. The letters spell out my name: Connor. In this project I had to take pictures of things in everyday life that would look like a letter in my name. After two days of shootings I selected these picture to be edited then used. The fist picture is a tiki styled light that is rotated on it's side to form a C. The second picture is me holding the camera so that the lens looks like an O. The third picture is of the top of a paper towel holder that looks like and N. Next, the picture of the pencils looked like another N. The fourth picture was of a Huberts Lemonade Bottle that looked like an O. And lastly the picture of the top of the guitar looks like a capital R.. This project definitely taught me to deeper and more carefully in photography but also in everything I do.

Elements of art reflection
In this picture I chose to demonstrate the texture element of art. As you can see I thought that the top of this wave looked very soapy and frosty. In my mind I could almost imagine how it would feel to the touch. After taking this picture at the Hermosa Beach pier I edited the picture on adobe photoshop to make the picture clearer and more appealing to the eye.
In this photo I chose to demonstrate the line element of art.On the right side of the picture is scaffolding. I shot along side of it to show depth of field and to enhance the line aspect of it. I chose to make this picture black and white because I thought it had a certain edginess to it. It had a flare that really helped to bring out the details.
In this picture I chose to demonstrate the space element of art. This picture was taken in park city, Utah while I was siting on a chair lift. I thought that I would use this for space because of the vast view of the town of Park City and beyond. The far mountains, the view of the town, and the shrubs on the bottom gave it a feeling of openness and space.
